Zut alors! Where to watch the World Cup in Cape Town tomorrow if you’re a supporter of les bleus vieux? Unlike their rivals, France’s supporters do not enjoy a dining-out landscape dotted with French-themed establishments in Cape Down. There are very few bistros, and practically no French-style cafes. Quelle dommage!

Fortunately, the local Alliance Francaise has stepped into the breach; its CBD doors will be open from 7 p.m. on Sunday, and there will be much joie de vivre – plus snacks and a cash bar – as Africa’s surrogate hope take on the impressive Azurri.
