Weather Whips SA Hither, Thither
The sun has reluctantly decided to show itself again in Cape Town, but the cold front that has menaced us for the past week has shipped off to other parts (without taking the cold along with it, alas), causing snow to fall in Soweto, of all places, as well as flooding in Knysna.
I’m sure that, despite the chill, Mr. Danny Jordaan and company over at the 2010 World Cup offices are breaking out into a sweat. Imagine the Cup’s final match – which is normally held sometime in July – being played under a light dusting of snowflakes. In Africa!
