- 200-ton nuclear power plant spare part safely in Koeberg. OK, it’s not exactly news from the weekend, but SA Blog couldn’t squeeze in a mention last week. The massive spare part needed to fix Koeberg, Cape Town’s nuclear power plant, arrived from France on a navy ship last week, and crawled at 15 k.p.h. up the West Coast to Koerberg, where it is now ensconced.
