Ghana Goes Down, Togo Expects… to be Crushed
Ghana lost 2-nil to Italy yesterday in the Mini-Group of Death‘s opening match (the Czech Republic‘s 3-nil win against the USA showed why it’s just the Mini-Group of Death, and not the real Group of Death). So three African teams have played, and all three have lost. There are just two opening games left for the continent to salvage some initial round-robin pride.
One of these games, unfortunately, is to be contested by Togo, later this afternoon, against South Korea. Togo currently don’t have a manager, and, being the weakest African side to begin with, also probably don’t have a prayer against the 2002 semifinalists.
C’mon Tunisia!
