This is a small-but-intimate joint at the lower end of Long Street, which you can practically have all to yourself. Belly up to the bar for a close-up view of the action, or head to the glassed-in smokers’ section for a decent-sized plasma screen.
The News Bar is for day games only, though – it closes after 5 p.m. It’s got a standard pub menu and decent coffee, I’m told. It’s definitely possible to get comfy here for a few hours.
