Table Mountain Fire: Update1

The fire on Table Mountain is still burning out of control, and has crossed over the crucial fire break constituted by Kloof Nek Road, which has allowed it to fork and travel simultaneously up the slopes of Lion’s Head and across the Twelve Apostles above Camps Bay.

Higgo Crescent, below Table Mountain in Higgovale, has been evacuated. Helicopters continue to concentrate their efforts in the city bowl, where the danger to life and property is greatest.
