New Table Mountain Fire
31 Jan 06, 2h45 p.m. A new fire has started in an area close to where last Thursday’s major blaze began, which threatened the Cape Town city bowl and suburbs on the Atlantic Seaboard.

While not as large in scope – yet – of last week’s disaster, the new fire has the makings of a doozy. The winds are rising and the smoke from the mountaintop is piling higher and higher.
SA Blog will keep a eye on the situation – two if it gets really bad. If you don’t see more on this particular fire, then rest assured that Cape Town’s beleagured firemen and women have done their jobs in stellar fashion once again.
