First Flash mob hits Cape Town

A horde of 150 shoppers turned into a mob of pillow fighters at exactly 12:07 on Saturday at the V&A Waterfront. The fighters beat each other senseless for a minute, then collapsed before going their separate ways.

Onlookers amazement is the reward, the flash mob event is designed to confuse, bewilder and entertain. The event was arranged by Andrew Kerr and Brandon Matley who used the social networking site facebook to recruit and organise operatives. A fine job he did, imagine trying to get 150 twenty year old’s to be in one place at an exact time… I am just glad the terrorists aren’t this organised or carry pillows.
